I am a lifelong learner with depth and breadth in my experience. Get ready for the credentials:
Professional Communicator
I majored in English - Creative Writing and minored in Psychology at the University of Redlands and graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors. I’m also a graduate of University of Washington’s Professional Technical Writing certification program.
For over twenty years, I led teams at six different renowned nonprofit, educational, and research institutions where I was personally responsible for a collective total of $40M in revenue.
My passion for professional communication and storytelling has taken on many deliverable forms, such as web content, magazine articles, blog posts, grant proposals, campaign marketing materials, case statements, and strategy plans.
I love to collaborate with passionate people who have a shared mission to make a difference in this wild world. If you are out there solving the world’s problems, then I want to articulate your story.
Creative Writer
Outside of corporate life, I wrote and illustrated two children’s books and I blogged for four years about budget finds in maternity and streetwear, parental musings, and pop culture.
I served as a contributing writer to a series of books about retirement on a budget.
I publish frequently on Medium and my blog, and I’m always out there pitching to publications.
Pursuer of Joy
I live happily in Marin County, CA with my family - my husband and our two fantastic kids - where the world around me is a constant source of inspiration.
I have two rescue dogs. Aww, but didn’t they rescue YOU? No...no, they did not. They drive me up a wall with their incessant barking every day. Fortunately, they are cute, and animal welfare is a deeply embedded personal value.
Music serves as a source of happiness. “Me and Bobby McGee” is my go-to karaoke choice. And, photography is a passion, although according to my kids, I’m too passionate because Gawd! Mom! Stop! No more photos.
I’m a lifelong athlete. I teach indoor cycling and I was once featured in a Peloton social media ad. The former keeps me busy and the latter gave me exactly fourteen minutes and fifty-nine seconds of fame.
What can I write for you?
